ChristchurchNZ has appointed Tracey Wilson as its acting general manager destination & attraction, taking over from Loren Heaphy who is on parental leave.
Wilson has spent the past several years managing University of Canterbury’s brand, marketing, and student recruitment.
“Christchurch is my adopted home and I’m thrilled that I get to share my love of the city in this new role,” said Wilson.
“I want to wish Loren all the best as her whānau grows and I’m looking forward to working with the great team she has around her.”
Heaphy said Wilson will be “an excellent steward” in her absence.
“It has been a tough couple of year for the tourism, international education, and major and business events industries but 2022 is shaping up as a year full of promise and I know Tracey will lead the team well as they rise to meet those exciting opportunities,” she said.
