A hatted Sydney duo will take over the former site of David Chang’s Momofuku Seiobo at The Star Sydney.
Federico Zanellato and Karl Firla, joint owners of Leo restaurant, will open ELE by Federico and Karl in March.
“There’s a real focus on the experience…something new in the platform of dining,” Firla told Good Food.
ELE will take diners on a progressive journey using food, design, art installations and projections, with Firla saying “you won’t spend the whole time in one area”.
Zanellato said they were excited “to welcome diners in for a brand-new dining experience” following the challenges of the last two years.
Momofuku Seiobo closed in June last year under talented Barbados-born chef Paul Carmichael who helmed the kitchen since 2015.
