The Calyx creates new events menu for Vivid Sydney experience

The Calyx in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney is offering a specially crafted menu for business events coinciding with Lightscape, the internationally acclaimed multi-sensory experience of light, colour and sound part of Vivid Sydney that runs until July 16.

The Sea of Light installation blankets the expansive lawn in front of The Calyx and merges into a spectacular display of light climbing up its façade to create a mesmerizing evening event space. Laissez-faire Catering have created a menu that complements the experience.

“The menu features a variety of eye-catching and memorable dishes, such as the Rainbow Blondies with Candied Popcorn for drinks, the Iridescent Purple Beetroot Risotto as a standout item, and the Chef’s personal favourite, the Yellow Saffron-Steamed Hapuka,” said Sara Flaksbard, general manager at Laissez-faire Catering.

“With its striking aesthetic, the menu promises to be perfect for capturing great photographs and adding to the overall unforgettable experience of the events.”

Denise Ora, chief executive of the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, said Lightscape enhances the natural beauty of the Gardens.

“Lightscape has been specifically designed to showcase our unique plants and structures at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney after-dark, making the experience truly unique,” she said.

“I am excited to see the magic come to life to offer visitors and our corporate guests a unique way to appreciate the beauty of the Garden at night to create unforgettable events and experiences.”
