Sydney is set to welcome a new venue offering adventure-focused corporate team building events including axe throwing.
Opening its doors on December 4 in Alexandria, Kiss My Axe will offer urban axe throwing where teams are taught by a dedicated coach to throw solid steel axes at wooden targets in a two-hour session.
“After the year we’ve all had, we wanted to give people an opportunity to get together and have fun,” said co-founder Ian Williams, who launched the venue with hospitality operator Jason Macdonald.
“Corporate teams haven’t seen each other for months due to Covid restrictions. It’s time to get out of our PJs and reconnect.”
Axe throwing has long been a popular sport in Canada and the United States.
“We wanted to create a space to bring people from all demographics and walks of life together for a good time,” said Macdonald.
“With my hospitality experience, and Ian’s 20 years leading teams in the corporate world, it felt like the perfect combination and opportunity for the market.”.
