Crowne Plaza Adelaide has been officially opened by Federal Tourism Minister Simon Birmingham.
“To those who have long dreamt and worked hard to deliver on this site, we extend an enormous thank you for the risks that you have taken, for the commitment that you have made to Adelaide, South Australia and to Australia by seeing the potential in investment like this,” Birmingham said.
“To the team here, a big congratulations on your official opening, it’s a wonderful step forward but it’s a real testament to your own resilience and courage during the course of this year, you have managed to adapt to the ever changing plans and re-invent and innovate in terms of the market segments that you’re targeting and be in a position to be able to celebrate today and we are confident to see beyond today the potential for guests and visitations, for events, functions, drives the type of support and the activity we want to see across Adelaide and right across Australia.”
Crowne Plaza Adelaide general manager Sarah Goldfinch said they were proud to open the hotel “in what has been a challenging year for the team and industry”.
“The energy and excitement to welcome guests and offer our true hospitality, has been palpable,” she said. “It is a new era for the Crowne Plaza brand with all new design innovations, and quite the milestone as we join two new openings in Australia this year.”
