SA Premier appoints advisory group to source major events

Actor Hugh Sheridan has been appointed to the new Events Advisory Group.

South Australian Premier Steven Marshall has put together a new group tasked with finding a replacement for the ditched Superloop Adelaide 500, according to a report in Adelaide Now.

Business SA’s Nikki Govan will chair the newly formed Events Advisory Group, which includes actor Hugh Sheridan, Art Gallery of SA director Rhana Devenport, Festivals SA CEO Justyna Jochym and LA Times Food Festival director Angus Dillon among the 15 members of the group.

“We are committed to a world-class events calendar throughout the year in SA, because we know that it supports jobs and the economy,” Marshall said.

“This is all part of our strong plan to boost bed nights, create jobs and produce high-quality and vibrant events for the people of SA.

“The new advisory group includes representatives from the events and tourism industry, hospitality and business sectors, who are all passionate about boosting our events and festivals calendar and driving visitation to SA.”
