Registrations have opened for the 2022 Australian Regional Tourism (ART) Convention to be held in Ballarat on 10-12 October.
The ART Convention has the theme ‘Regional Australia – Paving the way for a stronger Visitor Economy’.
After postponing this as an in-person event following COVID-19 restrictions, ART and City of Ballarat are excited to host the in-person event this year.
“Ballarat is thrilled to be able to finally host the Australian Regional Tourism Convention in 2022,” said City of Ballarat Mayor Daniel Moloney.
“The City of Ballarat and our tourism partners are leaders in regional tourism and we relish the opportunity to show the great work being done in our region to inspire other tourism providers.”
Australian Regional Tourism will also be hosting the Agritourism Conference on October 13, a one-off event bringing together the agricultural and tourism sectors.
“It’s been three years in the making and we cannot wait for the 2022 Convention to happen in-person this year,” said Coralie Bell, ART Chair.
“After all we have experienced these last couple of years, it’s time to come together in person and feel connected again.”
A famil program to showcase the Ballarat region announced soon.
