Plans have been unveiled for a new $25 million hotel and tourist complex in the Barossa Valley.
Located in Tanunda, the hotel will have 141 rooms and six luxury villas, a function centre, restaurant and an outdoor barbecue area.
Outhred English planner John Outhred hopes the hotel could be taken over by a major international brand once built which would “fill a market gap in the tourism sector”.
Construction is set to start next year following planning approvals.
“It’s in such an ideal location, just outside Tanunda and central to the other major Barossa towns at Angaston and Nuriootpa, it will indirectly be a big boost for Tanunda,” he told The Advertiser.
