A new virtual conference platform has raised US$2 million in seed funding from Storm Ventures in a sign that the appetite for virtual and hybrid events is only going to grow.
Based in Atlanta, InEvent will focus on the B2B market, according to CEO Pedro Góes.
The platform will offer increased customisation and support with organisers able to run everything from within InEvent while also allowing them to incorporate outside tools such as Zoom, Salesforce, Marketo and HubSpot.
“For us, what we are building, the technology for virtual and in-person, is the same thing,” said Góes.
The new boom in online events has seen a gold-rush of investment, with online events platform Hopin raising US$125 million last year before it acquired livestreaming startup StreamYard for US$250 million.
