Boutique hotel Aiden Darling Harbour has appointed Michael Sharp as its opening general manager.
Sydney-born Sharp has returned to his hometown after eight years of running hotels in other parts of Australia and in New Zealand to open Best Western’s first Aiden branded hotel in Australasia.
Set to open mid-year in Sydney’s harbourside Pyrmont village, the hotel will feature 88 rooms with in-built contactless technology.
Aiden Darling Harbour creator and owner Nicolas Chen, of IHHL, said they were pleased to welcome Sharp to the team to oversee the hotel’s opening.
Sharp said Chen had created “a fabulous hotel” which concentrates “on the true essentials of what makes a great guest stay”.
“Aiden Darling Harbour is set to be an impressive addition to the Sydney market for corporate and leisure guests alike,” he said.
