Marriott International appoints five new GMs across Australia and the Pacific

Marriott International has announced a raft of new general manager appointments at five of its properties throughout Australia, New Caledonia and Samoa.

Krister Svensson will begin his new role as GM for Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park on September 2. He was previously GM at W Singapore – Sentosa Cove.

Gaurav Wattal is the new GM at Melbourne Marriott Hotel. Prior to this he was at Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay, where he has held the position of director of operations since 2016.

Krister Svensson is GM for Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park.

Kelvin Ramm’s appointment as GM at Brisbane Marriott Hotel will see him return to his home state of Queensland, following more than two years as GM at Melbourne Marriott Hotel.

Romain Chanet steps into the role of cluster GM at Le Méridien Noumea Resort & Spa and Le Méridien Ile des Pins with more than 17 years of experience with Marriott International and Starwood. Prior to his new role he was GM at Soori, Bali.

Gaurav Wattal is the new GM at Melbourne Marriott Hotel. 

Brian Nathan is Cluster GM at Sheraton Samoa Aggie Greys Hotel & Bungalows and Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort. He comes to his new role from The Langham Hospitality Group, where has held the position of director of finance at The Langham, Auckland (recently rebranded to Cordis, Auckland).

Romain Chanet is cluster GM at Le Méridien Noumea Resort & Spa and Le Méridien Ile des Pins.
