Event announces three key leadership roles to support new sales structure

Nicola Porter appointed national sales director for QT Hotels and Resorts.

Event Hospitality and Entertainment has announced a national sales structure, with the appointment of three new key senior management roles.

Two appointments come from within Event with Melanie McGufficke appointed as national director of sales for Rydges, Atura and Independent Collection, and Nicola Porter appointed national sales director for QT Hotels and Resorts. Alison Boyd steps into the role of GM strategic partnerships, bringing extensive international experience.

McGufficke has held various senior roles in the Group across 20 years and was most recently area director of sales at Rydges Melbourne.

Porter played an integral role in the opening sales team for Art Series Hotel Group before leading the opening sales team at QT Melbourne as director of sales in 2016. Since then, she has taken on an area sales role for QT Hotels and Resorts.

Boyd has over 20 years’ experience working in hospitality and tourism across North America, the Caribbean, UK & Ireland, Australia and Singapore and more recently held senior leadership roles in digital marketing, sales and distribution for Marriott.
