Davos postponed again as Covid disruption continues

In a blow to conspiracy theorists around the world, this year’s annual meeting of world leaders and super wealthy known as Davos has been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic in Europe.

The World Economic Forum said they made the decision to postpone due to “the international challenges in containing the pandemic”.

The event is usually held in January in the Swiss city of Davos but was first postponed to May, before switching to Singapore on August 17-20.

“Current global travel restrictions have made planning difficult for an in-person meeting for the first half of the year,” the forum said in a statement.

Davos has been a touchstone for disparate conspiracists who believe that the forum has been advocating for the world to undergo a “Great Reset” following Covid, which includes fewer personal freedoms and increased surveillance among many other dystopian fears.

Or it could just be another event that is doing its best not to cancel during the ongoing Covid havoc.
