This year’s Western Australia Gourmet Escape will run over five days in November and feature more than 30 events across multiple venues in Perth, the Swan Valley, Margaret River and newly added location, Rottnest Island.
Chefs Curtis Stone and Rick Stein will return for the 2021 Gourmet Escape, along with a host of other high-profile chefs including Maggie Beer, Colin Fassnidge, Stephanie Alexander and Guy Grossi.
Margaret River will once again be a focal point of the program of events but new Perth-based events include Wine, Dine & Disco at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
“This much-loved food and wine festival is a bucket-list experience for foodies, showcasing the best of Western Australia’s produce, attracting visitors to destinations and supporting participating businesses,” said Tourism Minister David Templeman.
Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan said Western Australia Gourmet Escape “has become a flagship event for the State’s South-West”.
“Margaret River’s reputation for fine food and wine and a stunning natural environment are a big part of the reason celebrated culinary names come to WA for this event and endorse the region worldwide for its culinary experiences,” she said.
