Bali has welcomed the return of international visitors as the Indonesian island relaxes its Covid restrictions and ditches quarantine rules for overseas tourists.
Under a pilot programme, fully vaccinated visitors no longer have to undergo a mandatory three-day quarantine, though they need to remain on the island for four days.
Luhut Pandjaitan, a minister overseeing the COVID-19 response in Java and Bali, said that if the pilot programme was a success it would be applied across Indonesia from April 1 or earlier.
