Bali reopening a step closer as airlines schedule services from early 2022

Plans are underway to open Bali up to international visitors by as early as mid-October.

It is reported that three pilot locations – Sanur, Ubud, and Nusa Dua – will be allowed to open first.

Bali’s plans to reopen have been thwarted before with a planned limited border opening with Singapore set for September postponed after a spike in Covid cases.

But three Australian carriers are already betting on a reopening of the popular Indonesian destination with Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar all planning to resume flying to Bali from the end of March 2022.

Qantas will resume its Sydney and Melbourne service to Denpasar while Jetstar will start its Sydney and Denpasar service from April 1.

Virgin Australia will fly three routes to Bali from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
