BESydney has welcomed Atlassian Chief of Staff Amy Glancey as a new Independent Director for a three-year term.

Software tools provider Atlassian is one of Australia’s biggest tech success stories, recently signing as the anchor tenant of the city’s Tech Central precinct.

“Throughout the comprehensive search process, Amy was a standout, bringing a fresh perspective as well as a unique skill-set and connectivity to the tech sector globally, which is a priority growth area for our business,” said BESydney Chair Bruce Baird.

Prior to Atlassian, Glancey spent four years at Groupon where she led the communications team across 14 markets in APAC.

“I’m excited to join a team whose role it is to spotlight this amazing city,” said Glancey.

“Sydney is a world-class leader in innovation, creativity and ripe with opportunity. I’m looking forward to helping support new, bright ideas that can drive commercial and cultural impact for the city.”

Glancey joins the Board this month with her first meeting on February 22.
