ATEC looks to work with Albanese Government on tourism agenda

The Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) has welcomed the new Albanese led Labor Government and said it is looking forward to working on some key tourism issues including aviation and workforce shortages.

“There is much to be done in helping Australia’s export tourism industry to get back to its full success and we are looking forward to working alongside the Albanese Government in achieving this,” ATEC managing director Peter Shelley said.

“Over the past two years ATEC has built a strong relationship with the Labor party, ensuring they are across the key issues being faced by our industry and we are confident the new ministry is well informed and ready to support tourism’s future.

“ATEC looks forward to meeting Australia’s new tourism minister to successfully build on the opportunities our industry offers.”
