Alan Christie takes on new role at La Vie Hotels & Resorts

Alan Christie has stepped up at La Vie Hotels & Resorts.

La Vie Hotels & Resorts has promoted Alan Christie to the newly created role of ​​senior director – growth & business development, Asia, Middle East and Africa.

“As we continue to see significant interest and growth in the franchise and white label model, we are thrilled to have Alan onboard as we continue our expansion across the AMEA region,” said Chris Batterham, La Vie’s chief development officer.

“As the region’s leader in third-party hotel management, we continue to offer an owner-centric hotel management solution through the full-service operating platform we operate. This, coupled with Alan’s immense industry experience will ensure we are continuing to build long term relationships with our partners.”

Previous to this appointment, Christie was La Vie’s area general manager Sri Lanka.

Jerry Xu, La Vie’s CEO, said the new appointment will continue to “strengthen our resources and team in South East Asia”.

“We have very clear targets and a very strong business foundation with teams set up in Sydney, Bangkok and Dubai that will support Alan in this role, and I am confident with Alan’s expertise, more and more owners will see the value that independent hotel operators like La Vie can bring to their portfolio,” Xu said.

“This appointment, and we will continue to also add resources to the AMEA region in line with our continued expansion.”

Christie will be based out of La Vie’s Bangkok head office.

“The hospitality space is constantly evolving, and we’re seeing independent third party operators gaining significant traction in the Middle East and Asian markets following the huge success of this model in America and Europe,” he said.

“Now is the perfect time to start educating the market on the benefits of this tried and tested model, and I am excited to be part of the La Vie team as we continue our growth.”
