Will Blakelock has moved up Marriott International’s ranks with his new role as area director of revenue strategy – Australia, New Zealand.
Blakelock began his career with Marriott in 2004 in the reservations office in the UK, before becoming cluster director of market strategy in Prague and the Czech Republic and director of revenue management for W Amsterdam.
He was most recently director of revenue management at Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park.
“Will has been a high-performing and valued employee of Marriott International over the last 16-plus years and has worked extensively in our international network and more recently in Australia,” said Sean Hunt, Marriott International’s local boss.
“Our internal training and development programs allow us to develop the skills of our team members as they move through to senior management positions. I congratulate Will on his well-deserved appointment.”
