Virgin Australia suspends all international services

Virgin Australia will suspend all international flights and has announced more cuts to domestic capacity in a response to the tightening travel restrictions.

The carrier will suspend all international flights from March 30 to June 14 and halve its group domestic capacity.

Virgin said it will operate a reduced international schedule between now and March 29 to enable Australians to return home and visitors to return to their point of origin.

Yesterday Qantas announced that it will slash its international flights by 90 per cent.
