Virgin and Singapore resume codeshare agreement

Virgin Australia and Singapore Airlines have resumed their long running codeshare agreement after a two-year hiatus.

Virgin Australia will give Singapore Airlines passengers access to 31 domestic and international services, including those in New Zealand, while 42 Singapore Airlines flights will have a VA number on routes to Europe and Asia.

“Singapore Airlines has been a valued partner of Virgin Australia for well over a decade and we are excited to resume the sale of codeshare flights, creating a more seamless booking experience for our customers,” said Virgin’s Group Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, Alistair Hartley.

“Expanding our partnership with Singapore Airlines means we are able to offer our loyal customers more choice and value when travelling internationally, creating more ways to see the world, through wonderful travel experiences on Singapore Airlines.”

The carrier also said it was looking at expanding the codeshare agreement further across Singapore Airlines’ network now that travel was recovering post pandemic.
