The inaugural Venue Safety & Security Exchange is being held on July 12.

The Venue Safety & Security Exchange (VSX 2023) is gearing up for its debut next week in Sydney bringing together event safety practitioners from the events sector on July 12.

To be held at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney, VSX 2023 will have a specialist panel of speakers who are event safety and security experts including NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb, who will open the event.

“Coming from a major events security background and being involved in thousands of events throughout Australia, I’ve never come across an event that was just safety and security based for the events industry,” said Eddie Idik, director of Vital Protection Group and Chair of VSX 2023.

“VSX 2023 will be an annual event that provides a platform for venue and event safety and security innovation. There will be a big focus on event intelligence gathering using the latest technology including open source intelligence programs, counter terrorism alert systems and artificial intelligence.”
