The Venice Film Festival is sticking to its plans for September despite the iconic Cannes festival recently cancelling this year.
The Venice Film Festival will go ahead on September 2-12, according to Venice Biennial president Roberto Cicutto.
Venice is looking at options to ensure the September festival will go ahead as planned, including a digital option for foreign press and potentially using cinemas.
The Cannes Film Festival postponed this year’s event, once to mid-July and a second time indefinitely.
