A Vegan Festival will be one of the first major events held in Adelaide next month after being given the go-ahead from health authorities.
The festival will feature more than 60 market stalls and adhere to a COVID-safe plan including a ban on alcohol.
Around 16,000 people attended last year but while the restrictions may mean fewer people this year organisers say the event is more relevant than ever.
“Animal exploitation is cruel to animals and, as we’re learning this year, can lead to destructive pandemics like COVID-19,” a festival spokesperson said.
The Vegan Festival will run from October 31 to November 1 at Rymill Park.
