Joyce Weir passed away on Monday, with the Globus family of brands paying tribute to the travel and business events veteran.
Weir had a long history within the broader travel industry starting with Qantas, where she spent 15 years in various roles, before moving on to Hawaiian Airlines.
Her latest role was with the Globus family of brands as national business development manager MICE.
Gai Tyrrell, Globus family of brands managing director Asia Pacific, said Weir will be greatly missed.
“Joyce’s passion and determination for seeking out new business was unmatched,” she said.
“She did everything with a smile and a skip in her step. She was a shining light who will be forever missed.”
