Tourism New Zealand has welcomed Wendy Desiles to the business events team as business development manager.
Desiles was most recently at Destination Marlborough promoting the Marlborough region for business events.
“I’ve worked with the Tourism New Zealand team in my past roles and it’s great to join them and help promote the country as a whole,” she said.
“It’s a really exciting time, with three new convention centres coming onboard, and I look forward to promoting New Zealand’s excellent Business Events offering internationally.”
Desiles will be based in Wellington, where she’ll work to identify international conference opportunities and support the bidding and marketing process to bring business events to New Zealand.
