The Hotel Windsor in Melbourne is holding its annual Events Open Day next month.
This year the hotel is partnering with events theming company, Empire Red, and Virtual Reality company Rentertainment to bring attendees an entirely new sensory experience.
The Hotel Windsor’s new executive chef, Tom Brockbank (ex-eead chef at Events, Estelle by Scott Pickett) will create a lavish breakfast buffet display of moss and dry ice adorned with French toast, yoghurt with compote and cranberry stilton cigars. The Grand Ballroom will also be transformed into a half-modern, half-traditional Christmas showcase by Empire Red, with Sharks Bay prawns cooked over a Japanese hibachi, crayfish lobster rolls and caviar en croute.
“This year, we are exploring the theme of tradition reimagined, encouraging corporates and event planners to view our hotel in a different light,” said associate director of sales Narelle Welsh.
“This Events Open Day is an invitation to corporates and event planners to push the boundaries of their imagination in what we can do for them. And we have incredible theming, food and experiences planned.”
Virtual Reality experiences by Rentertainment can be had in Wallis & Ed, and the hotel’s remaining function rooms and suite will be open for viewing.
The open day is being held on Wednesday 7 August, from 7.30am to 9.30am. Register to attend here.
