The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre delays reopening

The Victorian Government’s current coronavirus restrictions have forced the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre to make “the difficult decision” to extend its closure until 31 August 2020.

“Things may look a little different when you attend an event at MCEC in future as we roll out our VenueSafe measures,” MCEC said in a statement.

“These measures will ensure MCEC is able to operate as a safe and secure environment and remain Melbourne’s leading destination for big ideas and inspirational events.

“We are doing everything in our power to ensure a safe return of MCEC’s regular operations and look forward to welcoming you back when it is safe to do so.”
