Iconic Sydney restaurant Golden Century has launched a new 180-person dining and event space, on what was previously a rooftop space.
A versatile venue for banquets, private dinners and meetings, Golden Century Wine Bank can be configured into up to eight private dining rooms or booked as an exclusive event space. Lounge areas are also available for pre- or post-dining drinks.
Guests can select from the 1000-plus label wine list or peruse 600 more rare and vintage wines in the restaurant’s new ‘wine bank’ cellar and will also have the option of cellaring or storing their own wines on site.
The dining space has its own purpose-built kitchen, which can produce a la carte and banquet menus to suit any occasion.
“At Golden Century Wine Bank we want to elevate Chinese food and have amazing fine wines to match,” said Eric Wong of the Golden Century Group.
“We’re excited to have a bottle of wine for every menu item and we chose the name Wine Bank because in Cantonese it sounds like ‘prestige collection’, and that is what we have on level three.”
With the new venue, the entire restaurant can seat up to 650 people.
