International lifestyle hospitality group sbe and Accor have unveiled their latest Hyde partnership, marking the third venue in Australia.
Situated in the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour, Hacienda Sydney will relaunch as Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge on November 15.
The new venue follows Hyde Paradiso on the Gold Coast and more recently Hyde Perth Kitchen + Cocktails.
“Hyde will bring a new level of energy, excitement and sophistication to Sydney’s sought-after CBD nightlife, creating a new era of hospitality for domestic and international guests,” said Accor’s chief operating officer Pacific, Simon McGrath.
Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge will introduce a new, unique cocktail menu by Australia’s most awarded bartender, Tim Philips-Johansson, senior consultant at Sweet&Chilli.
Hero cocktails include Coffee & Malt Old Fashioned (a twist on an old fashion classic with a hint of Espresso Martini; Chia Daiquiri (infusing rum with the sweetness of strawberries and rose and served with a chia roll-up; and Pimm’s Smash (a summer punch mash-up with pomegranate and watermelon).
The food menu combines fresh local produce with South American influences led by newly appointed executive chef Steven Hartert. Think Slow-braised beef short rib taco; Toasted ‘Cubano’ sandwich with double smoked ham, roasted pork, hot salami and swiss cheese; and Roast chicken stuffed empanadas.
“I am very excited to announce that in such a short period we are announcing our third opening of the Hyde brand in Australia,” said Sam Nazarian, founder & CEO of sbe.
“I want to thank Simon McGrath and his team for their continued trust in us and the incredible work they have done to launch Hyde in Australia. This is just the beginning of our international expansion of our brands globally in collaboration with our partners at Accor.”
