Search is on for this year’s home of the Australian Event Awards Ceremony

The organisers of the Australian Event Awards is looking for a ‘Destination Partner’ to host the Australian Event Awards Ceremony this year.

“Your State or Territory would receive prominence as the location chosen from proposals across the entire country for the Australian Event Awards,” the Awards organisers said in a statement.

“Attended by event practitioners plus staff and crew, and web-streamed to hundreds more, the Awards Ceremony alone injects social, cultural, and economic benefits to the area to engage your events community more broadly, but also to instigate and advance public visitation.”

This year offers a special opportunity to host a unique Event Awards Ceremony that not only aims to highlight achievements but also strives to represent and acknowledge the strength and resilience of the industry in the face of Covid-19.

“We are looking for innovative bids that can both facilitate the best possible delivery of the Australian Event Awards and work closely with our management team to make this year’s program an acknowledgement of industry resilience,” said Ian Steigrad, managing director of the Awards.

“We are looking for passionate, creative, and collaborative Destination Partners who are just as committed to creating an amazing event as we are. Traditionally collaborative bids have fared best, so I really encourage organisations to consider partnerships with each other and their destination.”

Bids close on 27 July 2021. For more information about the Search for a Home and bid documents head here.
