Not-for-profit Rural Health West has launched purpose.ground, a new professional conference and event management business with a mission to create lasting social impact through every event they deliver.
purpose.ground will provide end-to-end conference and event management services, with all profits reinvested into supporting health professionals across rural and remote Western Australia.
Leading the new business is Leesa Thomas, who brings 30-years experience working in association management, including with AIM WA, as well as in the private PCO sector.
“What I love is understanding what an event is trying to achieve, then finding those little touches that make delegates leave talking about the experience rather than just the program,” Thomas said.
“I’ve always loved the detail that goes into event management. There are thousands of moving parts behind every successful conference, and I genuinely enjoy bringing them all together.
“But my favourite moment is when everything comes to life; seeing people so proud of their event never gets old.”
Thomas said one of purpose.ground’s greatest strengths was its ability to deliver memorable events in regional and remote Australia.
“Western Australia presents some unique opportunities for event organisers,” she said.
“We’ve spent decades delivering conferences across vast distances and in some truly extraordinary locations, often managing complex logistics that many would find daunting.
“Those experiences have taught us that the destination can become part of the event itself. We love creating experiences that delegates will remember long after they’ve returned home.”
