The plans for a new build Ritz-Carlton hotel in Pyrmont have been given the greenlight.
News Corp has reported the six-star hotel, which is part of a $1 billion development, will go ahead with the release of the final plans for the future of Pyrmont.
The hotel will be located in a 110m tower at the northern end of the Star Casino. A 4.5-star Dorset Hotel will also be built in the southern tower.
“We’ve listened to community and business feedback and have adapted the plan so that Pyrmont remains a prosperous and unique part of Sydney,” said Planning Minister Rob Stokes.
“Striking a balance in planning is never easy and the unique geography and history of Pyrmont’s settlement pattern provided a particular challenge.”
