Return of The Ritz as Geelong’s accommodation offering widens

Geelong will add a 4.5 star hotel to its accommodation offering with The Ritz Hotel reopening after a 40 year hiatus.

The hotel will open on March 1 in a heritage listed landmark building in the heart of the city after undergoing an extensive makeover.

Formerly known as the Belle-Vue Hotel and built circa 1854, The Ritz will feature 128 rooms and apartments over nine floors.

The building has been designed for energy efficiency, with 80 solar panel roofing, 7-star energy ratings in the guest rooms, plus argon gas filled windows for heat and sound proofing.
