Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands has opened marking the arrival of the first international 5-star hotel in the harbour suburb.
The 189-room hotel offers 375sqm of event space across five function and meeting spaces, with flexible floorplans and an abundance of natural light looking out to panoramic views.
“The opening of Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands marks a significant milestone for us,” said Sean Hunt, Marriott’s local boss.
“It’s the first Marriott branded hotel we open in Australia in 20 years and the first five-star hotel in the Docklands precinct.
“Despite an uncertain time through covid, we are seeing the growth and confidence in travel re-emerge and we look forward to being a part of the revitalisation of the travel sector throughout Australia.”
Also on offer is a 28m rooftop infinity pool, serviced by an adjoining bar with panoramic views across Melbourne’s CBD skyline, and signature restaurant Archer’s.
“We look forward to establishing our hotel as a must-stay hotel for both locals and visitors to the city thanks to our unrivalled dining outlets and spectacular rooftop pool and bar,” said Girish Talreja, general manager of Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands.
