Registrations open for BEIA Conference 2021

Registration is now open for the Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) Conference 2021, to be held at the Napier War Memorial Centre in Hawke’s Bay from October 11 to 13.

With the theme ‘BEing Brave, Bold and Ready’, the conference programme will look to the future of business events.

Speakers will include Tourism Minister Stuart Nash; leading New Zealand economist, Tony Alexander; clinical psychologist Jacqui Macguire; and technology and broadcasting expert Sir Ian Taylor.

International event strategist Oscar Cerezales, from MCI Group, will lead the discussion.

BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins says the team has designed a programme to fit the current environment, examining the threats and opportunities from Covid, the domestic market and looking ahead to international opportunities.

“Our speakers and workshops will focus on understanding the future, gaining industry intelligence, and forecasting,” she said.

“One of the characteristics of this conference is audience involvement. Our exceptional speakers are there to generate discussion. While they develop some of the framework, there will be plenty of audience participation.”
