Tasmanian regional events can now apply for up to $100,000 in funding as part of the Tasmanian Government’s $1.5 million Regional Event Recovery Fund.
Start-up and existing events held in regions across the state are able to use the funds to resource the measures required to overcome a challenge or support their organisation.
“The Government is a strong supporter of the events sector, which has a critical role to play in restoring visitation to Tasmania and stimulating the economy following COVID-19,” said Minister for Hospitality and Events Sarah Courtney.
“I thank the industry for its hard work and resilience over the past eighteen months and I look forward to continuing to work with industry to build an even stronger and more vibrant sector for the future.”
Applications will close on 3 September 2021.
