- Quest Apartment Hotels has more than doubled its footprint in Canberra with new 126-room property
Quest Apartment Hotels has opened a 126-key property in Canberra’s inner north, more than doubling the brand’s accommodation footprint in the nation’s capital.
Formerly Adina Serviced Apartments Canberra Dickson, Quest Canberra Dickson’s opening marks the first stage in the property’s transition to the Quest brand, with a broader refurbishment to follow.
The property becomes Quest’s third Canberra location, joining Quest Canberra and Quest Canberra City Walk. Together, the three properties now offer 247 rooms and apartments across the city, up from 121.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr welcomed the expansion as “a strong vote of confidence in our city and its future”.
“It’s great to see Australia’s largest apartment hotel operator strengthening its commitment to Canberra with the addition of Quest Canberra Dickson,” he said.
“This expansion is a strong vote of confidence in our city and its future, reflecting growing demand from business travellers, event delegates and tourists who continue to choose Canberra as a destination.”
David Mansfield, managing director of The Ascott Limited Australasia, which owns Quest Apartment Hotels, said the opening represented a significant vote of confidence in Canberra’s continued growth.
“Canberra is no longer a one-night or one-purpose city,” he said.
“People come for government, business, major projects, education and events, but increasingly stay for its food, culture, nature and distinctive neighbourhoods.
“Quest Canberra Dickson more than doubles our footprint in the capital and gives guests another way to experience the city – close to the CBD and major institutions, but firmly connected to the character of the inner north.”
