Qantas has temporarily suspended its direct flights from Perth to London over concerns about flying through Iranian airspace following an escalation in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Qantas will instead operate its Perth-London route via a stop in Singapore for the outward journey while keeping the return from London a non-stop service with a modified flight route to avoid Iranian airspace.

“We’re temporarily adjusting the flight paths for our flights between Perth and London due to the situation in parts of the Middle East,” a Qantas spokesperson said.

“We’ll reach out to customers directly if there’s any change to their booking.”
