Bendigo is set to see a new $30 million luxury hotel built in the CBD.
Hilton and Accor are reported to have shown an interest in managing the six-storey hotel, according to the Bendigo Advertiser.
Plans lodged by the Melbourne-based Amber Property Group propose a 108-room hotel with the intent of achieving a five-star Green Star Design rating.
Speaking to the Bendigo Advertiser, Amber Property’s Jevan Clay said it would take around 18 months to two years to build.
“We’re trying to work closely with Bendigo council, and the community, to make sure we design something that adds another layer of accommodation for the Bendigo market,” he said.
“We want to position this as a luxury product for Bendigo.”
