- PCEC appoints business event industry veteran Malcolm Clancy into new business development role
Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) has appointed Malcolm Clancy to the newly created role of director of business development.
He brings more than 12 years of experience across convention centres, destination marketing organisations, tourism agencies, hotels and event businesses in Australia, Europe and North America including head of sales at the Royal Dublin Society, Ireland’s largest convention and events venue.
PCEC General Manager Kendra Naidoo said Clancy’s appointment marks an exciting milestone for the organisation.
“This newly created role reflects our ambition to strengthen PCEC’s commercial performance and expand our contribution to Western Australia’s visitor economy,” she said.
“Malcolm brings an exceptional combination of strategic vision, commercial expertise and industry relationships that will help shape the future of business events in our State.
“His deep understanding of international markets, proven ability to secure major events and passion for innovation make him ideally placed to lead our business development strategy and unlock new opportunities for growth.”
Clancy said he was excited to join PCEC at a pivotal time for the business events industry.
