PCMA Asia Pacific announces Regional Advisory Board and in-person meeting in Australia

PCMA Asia Pacific has announced its 2022 Regional Advisory Board with 15 members to act as regional-local PCMA ambassadors within the APAC region.

Deborah Caldwell (Bank of America); Jean Chua (NTT DATA); Simon Lin (HIMSS); Teagan Seccombe (Harcourts International); and Deanna Varga (Mayvin Global) will serve a two-year term.

Karen Bolinger (Karen Bolinger Consulting); Oscar Cerezales (MCI Group  Darren Chuckry (HK Initiative); Ramesh Daryanani (Marriot International); Shogo Kaneda (SK Business Events); Edward Koh (Singapore Tourism Board); Weemin Ong (Marina Bay Sands); Paula Rowntree (Australian Psychological Society); Veemal Gungadin (GEVME); and Florence Chua (PCMA) have had their terms renewed.

PCMA APAC is currently preparing to launch its fully re-designed Convening APAC 2022 delivering virtual experiences across July through to September and two in-person experiences – Australia in August and Singapore in September.

“The business events industry is poised for recovery in the region with varying phases of re-opening,” said Florence Chua, managing director at PCMA APAC.

“There is a pressing need for the community to collaborate more to navigate the continued uncertainties ahead and, overcome the talent crunch faced in all markets.

“Continuing education needs to be balanced with the workload of increased business to ensure our talents are recharged and up to speed with latest developments.”
