Parrtjima set for September as Alice Springs sees return of festival season

In a sign of confidence that Australia is returning to normal, Alice Springs has announced the return of Parrtjima – A Festival In Light in September.

The coronavirus put paid to plans to run the fifth edition of the annual festival in April, with the new dates on September 11-20 set to kickstart the NT’s event calendar.

More details on the line-up are set to be announced soon, with the free 10-day public celebration of Indigenous arts, culture, music and storytelling hoping to match last year’s record attendance of 25,000 people.
