Ovolo South Yarra has announced its leadership team led by general manager Amy Moylan as the hotel officially opens its doors.
Moylan was previously general manager of Ovolo Laneways for the last three years.
“Working, living and holidaying around the world over the past two decades has given me the ideal background into the world of lifestyle travel,” she said.
“I’m thrilled to be able to bring my experiences and ideas to life to ensure all of our guests, receive individualised and world class service – the Ovolo way.”
Ovolo South Yarra’s food and drink offering, Lona Misa, will be in collaboration with renowned Melbourne chefs Shannon Martinez (Smith & Daughters, Smith & Daughters Deli) and Ian Curley (French Saloon, Kirk’s Wine Bar).
Martinez and Curley will oversee the heavily vegan and vegetarian menus across the all-day café, bar and restaurant.
Jacqueline Rosenstengel has been appointed director of food & beverage. She was most recently food and beverage manager of The Olsen, part of the Art Series group.
“Combining amazing vegetarian and vegan food with great drinks and atmosphere is exactly what South Yarra needs,” said Rosenstengel.
