NSW launches $5m business event support package to ‘kickstart’ the industry

The NSW Government has launched a Business Events Industry Support package to boost business confidence and stimulate conversion of pent-up demand for in-person events.

From 6 April, $5.5 million in funding will be made available to support business events, conferences and conventions across Greater Sydney and NSW, as part of a major Covid-19 response package designed to encourage people back into the Sydney CBD.

Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres said that supporting the business events industry was vital as NSW continued its economic recovery.
