The Crystalbrook Kingsley is taking reservations ahead of its opening on June 15.
Centrally located in the Cultural Precinct opposite Civic Park, Crystalbrook Kingsley marks the entry of Newcastle’s first 5-star hotel.
Following a transformation of Newcastle’s iconic ‘Roundhouse’ building, Crystalbrook Kingsley features 130 rooms and suites, with a focus on sustainability including 100 per cent biodegradable or recyclable bathroom amenities.
Other sustainable initiatives include the use of upcycled and recycled materials in construction, a single-use plastic free environment, keyless room access and paperless check in and check out.
The hotel’s environmental stance continues through to the rooftop restaurant and rooftop bar, where 80 per cent of the produce is grown within a three-hour radius of the hotel.
“Championing Newcastle’s heritage and embracing the City’s shifting landscape is at the heart of the hotel. Locals and visitors alike will be able to see this threaded through the interior design, which is a contemporary take on our mining history, and in our partnerships, our restaurant and bar concepts and in our food and beverage offering,” said Crystalbrook Kingsley general manager Carl Taranto.
“This is a significant and immensely exciting opening for both Newcastle and Crystalbrook Collection’s growing portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts.”
