The newly formed National Events Alliance (NEA) has unveiled its vision and objectives for the future with the aim of becoming “the voice and leader of the exhibitions and events industry”.
In a media release, NEA said it will focus on the marketing of the “live event platform” to sponsors, exhibitors and visitors.
“As a group, it is intended we will meet and communicate regularly to exchange information and ensure, not only best practice, but equally to ensure members keep learning,” NEA stated. “Ultimately we are a group that supports each other.”
NEA will also announce a partnership in the coming weeks that supports the mental wellbeing of the events industry.
“Trade shows and the businesses within the sector make a significant impact on the communities we serve, and the national economy,” NEA stated.
“The elected committee will have a mandate of representing the whole of industry and raising the awareness of the effectiveness of the events and exhibition sector.”
