A partnership with hotel owners, Canberra Labor Club, will see Accor open a new Mercure in Canberra next year.
The five-storey, 125-room Mercure Canberra Belconnen is currently under development at the Canberra Labor Club precinct on Cameron Avenue and is slated to open on January 22.
The hotel will adjoin the Club’s precinct, accessible via a connecting walkway, allowing guests easy access to all food and beverage, and entertainment facilities within the club.
The hotel will also feature food and beverage outlets and event and conferencing spaces.
“All eyes are on the nation’s capital at the moment, which is experiencing a renewed interest amongst investors and developers,” said Simon McGrath, Accor Pacific’s chief operating officer.
“We are confident that the Mercure hotel will provide much-needed new hotel supply for Canberra and we look forward to welcoming the first guests to Mercure Canberra Belconnen.”
