Rupert Hallam has been appointed as general manager of Hilton Adelaide.
He brings more than 25 years’ experience in hospitality and tourism, and has been with Hilton for more than 19 years.
“I strongly believe Adelaide is one of the friendliest cities in Australia,” he said. “Whilst I may have only been in the role a few weeks, I have already received such a warm welcome by our team and the wider tourism and business community in Adelaide.
“We are fortunate that Hilton Adelaide is the largest hotel in South Australia, with 374 guest rooms, as well as the largest hotel ballroom, meaning we can cater to large groups as well as individual travellers.
“I am looking forward to building on the deliverables and programs in place using my global commercial experience with the Hilton brand. We want Hilton Adelaide to continue to be the hotel destination of choice for visitors in an extremely competitive environment.”
Prior to this role Hallam was vice president of sales for Hilton Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
